Laddu Gopal is dressed more often than any other form in the house, so the practical questions — size, fabric, season — come up constantly.
Sizing
Laddu Gopal poshaks are quoted by number rather than by inches. The number refers to the height of the seated form; measure from the base to the crown and match it against the size chart on the listing.
Seasonal fabric
Cotton and mulmul through the hot months, velvet and brocade through winter. A summer poshak in a winter weight is uncomfortable to tie and looks heavier than it should.
Changing and washing
Wash by hand in cool water, without detergent where the fabric is worked with zari or stones, and dry flat away from direct sun.
